Local Impact: Crime Free Housing
The City of Naperville has a Crime-Free Multi Program, which is implemented on a voluntary basis. Based upon feedback from various groups (residents, property owners and groups) the City is currently considering options to establish mandatory requirements pertaining to rental property. Rental regulations are often enacted to meet goals such as crime prevention and blight prevention.
The Housing Advisory Commission (HAC) hosted a public meeting regarding rental regulations in May and will continue the discussions regarding potential rental regulations at their July meeting.
During this meeting we will have city officials, owners of rental property and public safety officials discussing the Naperville Area impact of proposed regulations. Join us for this conversation and understanding new regulations.
This month's meeting will be held on Monday, June 8, 2015 from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm at the Hotel Arista, 2139 CityGate Lane to learn more about legislative topics. Registration for this meeting is $15.
