The Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce invites all Members and the community to attend the 2011 State of the County Address luncheon with DuPage County Board Chairman Dan Cronin Monday, Sept. 26, 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m., at the Hilton Lisle/Naperville, located at 3003 Corporate West Drive in Lisle.
The address will follow the introduction of Cronin’s first budget as chairman. Since assuming his position as chairman in December 2010, Cronin and the DuPage County Board have taken significant steps to improve the accountability and effectiveness of county government. The county recently adopted a revised salary and benefit package for its thousands of employees that will save taxpayers tens of millions of dollars in future costs.
“Chairman Cronin hit the ground running and has handled several important issues, including the landmark compensation and benefits reform to help the county stay on a path of fiscal solvency,” said Chamber President & CEO John Schmitt. “I would encourage all business leaders to attend Cronin’s State of the County Address and learn about what’s been accomplished and what lies ahead in the future."
Seating is limited, so preregistration is strongly encouraged. Cost to attend is $25 for Members and $35 for nonmembers. Register online at www.naperville.net or over the phone by calling the Chamber at 630-355-4141.
