Naperville has come a long way since the first Last Fling. What started out 45 years ago as a small community picnic is now the area's biggest four-day celebration over Labor Day weekend and attracts visitors from all over the state.
The Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce invites all Members and the community to attend the General Membership Luncheon Monday, Aug. 22, and learn about how 45 years of Last Fling has helped the Naperville community grow and prosper.
The luncheon will feature a special panel discussion of three men who have been there through it all:
- Paul DeKruiff, past executive director of Last Fling and past president of the Naperville Jaycees
- Rick Motta, owner of Rick Motta Barber Shop
- Tom Miers, president of Naperville Bank & Trust
Chamber President & CEO John Schmitt will serve as moderator.
Paul, Rick and Tom will talk about how Last Fling has grown and changed over the years and how Naperville's business community has grown and changed with it.
The luncheon will take place from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Hilton Lisle/Naperville, located at 3003 Corporate West Drive in Lisle.
You can register online or by calling the Chamber at 630-355-4141.
Cost to attend is $25 for Members, $30 at the door, and $35 for nonmembers.
