"Bob Schillerstrom, A Record of Getting Things Done"
The can't-miss event of the Chamber's monthly calendar is our General Membership Luncheon. Significant speakers who have attended recent luncheons include former Illinois Governor Jim Edgar, US Chamber of Commerce President & CEO Thomas Donohue and noted futurist Rebecca Ryan. Each month's event is an excellent chance for networking and for hearing discussion on topics of interest to the business community.
On Monday, September 27 the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce will welcome Chairman of DuPage County Board, Bob Schillerstrom, for his final “State of the County,” address to the Chamber and business leaders. In what has become an annual tradition, the Chairman will deliver a report out on the past year while addressing the opportunities and challenges before the County.
“The Chairman’s annual address to the Chamber has become the focal point of our relationship with DuPage County,” said John Schmitt, President & CEO of the Chamber. “We are looking forward to the Chairman’s remarks, and continuing to strengthen our relationship with the County and their many functions which affect the business climate and job creation.”
The September 27 event will also be the last time Chairman Schillerstrom will address the Chamber in his capacity as Chairman of the Board of DuPage County. Schillerstrom, announced earlier that he would not seek another term as Chairman, a position that he has held since December 7, 1998.
The Luncheon will be held from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 27 at the Holiday Inn Select. The cost to attend is $25 for Members and $35 for non-members, you may register here or by calling the Chamber at (630) 355-4141.
